Do you prefer Directv or U-Verse?
Has anyone had both of these tv services? Which do you prefer?
We have had directv since 2003 and we are happy with it, except for the increasing cost to have it. We are moving and considering trying out At&t’s U-verse since I can’t get simple DSL at the new address, but I can get the full U-verse package of tv, internet and phone.
My sister in FL just switched to U-verse and claims to love it, but I have never seen the picture quality of it to compare with our HD Directv service.
My other option at the new address would be digital phone and internet with Cox communications and keep Directv service.

I switched from Comcast cable to U-Verse, and I have 2 friends who switched from DirecTv to U-Verse. All of us are happy with the switch. In my observation, the picture quality is as good as Comcast which compares favorably, if not better to DirecTv. I opted for the 6 mb/s Internet speed, and it seems to be just as fast in all respects as what I had with Comcast, with the added bonus of less line failures (none so far after one year–weekly with Comcast). The digital telephone service is, well, it’s AT&T.
Also, after the promotional period, my cost for TV + Internet + phone via U-Verse is less than what I was paying before for Comcast TV + Internet plus separate landline phone.
