How to Shop for a Pink Flat Screen TV

The time has come to replace that clunky old tube television and you decide to take the plunge into the world of flat screen TV’s.  As you browse through the vast array of manufacturers and models,  one thing you will discover is that gone are the days of big black ugly box TV’s.

A buyer now has choices, lots of them.  Televisions are now available in sizes from mini to mega.  They also come in more colors than just black.  So if you are looking for a television that will add a little panache to the room, consider a pink flat screen TV.

Regardless of the color, there are several factors to consider when shopping for a television.  In order to make a wise purchasing decision and the most value out of your investment, make a careful review of the following features when comparing models.

TV Screen Size

The first feature to consider is the size of your new flat screen.    This will narrow down your selection in several ways.  First, the size will determine the technology that you will be considering.  For example, plasma TV’s are only available in larger screen sizes.  Smaller flat screens use the LCD technology.  Currently, most of the pink flat screen tvs on the market are in the 7″ to 32″ size range and have LCD displays.

Display Technology

Once you have decided on the size you are looking for, the next decision will be whether to choose a model that uses the LED LCD technology or one that uses the older CFL LCD display.  An LED TV will be thinner than its CFL counterpart.  The latest generation of LED displays is also superior in terms of color quality, brightness and contrast.

Display Resolution

The final main factor to consider is the screen resolution.  The standard resolutions available in models currently on the market are 1080p and 720p.   A 1080p screen is able to display every pixel of the highest quality broadcast; however, in numerous test trials, users have found that the difference between a 1080p display and one in 720p is not noticeable until you move up to larger screen sizes.  Considering that the majority of pink flat screens are 32″ and below, this factor should not weight much in your decision.

Each of these factors should be taken into consideration when choosing any type of television; however,  keep in mind that the number of flat screens available in pink is severely limited and you will not have as many options to choose from as if you were looking for a black or chrome model.  Prioritize the features that are most important to you, review the models on the market, and make your decision based on those.
