sony xbr projection hd tv?
my sony xbr projection tv is blinking the red standy LED light. I found out that the number of blinks indicates a code and supposedly the code thats blinking says the tv is overheating. I turn on the tv and two seconds later it turns off. I know I have to have it serviced but does anyone know more or less how much it will cost to fix the problem…by the way I dont have the extended warranty and it is out of warranty.
A TV set does NOT overheat in 2 seconds…it overheats in 20 MINUTES OR MORE…..
So I suspect one of your FANS died on you….
Because that is the other possibility with the OVERHEAT code.
Simple FAN replacement, will be about $300 if you take it in. Add a trip charge if you want them to fix it in your home.
