The LG 32LD490 is a cheap large flat screen television that produces HD quality pictures. It is priced at 50% less than the usual flat screen TVs in the market. The television is capable of using the BBC iPlayer. It produces good color quality but is a little slow in responding to fast motion movies. The low price is its best feature.
The manufacturers immediately offered this television at an affordable price tag that lets it compete with other higher end flat screen TVs. It is a bit bigger than other flat screen televisions though because it does not use a LED light like others brands. Instead, the LD490 uses a CCFL back light to light up the screen. The Free View images on the 32LD490 are alright but not as pristine as its competitors and high end flat screen TVs. Colors are vibrant and good enough. They also seem natural and not overly vivid. The weak point of this TV is the motion that sometimes triggers a staccato-like effect when watching high speed action movies.
This price of this television lets anyone afford a large flat screen television which normally costs double the price for other brands. It gives you value for your money yet provides very good images and features that are also standard in other high end televisions.
