Are there good indoor HD antennas that can reach 60+ miles?
I live in Charlottesville, VA and just got Directv. Unfortunately, they do not offer locals or locals w/ HD. I have a TV with a built-in hd-tuner. I hooked up a regular set of rabbit ears and picked up NBC HD, which is the only major local station being transmitted in HD in this area. I went through antennaweb.com and 2150.com and searched and found stations being broadcasted digitally within an 80 mile radius of my location. In particular, Richmond, VA(61 miles away) has digital feeds OTA for ABC and CBS. Harrisonburg, VA(37.5 miles away) has ABC HD.
I live in an apartment(2nd floor) so I’m thinking an indoor antenna is a must(unless they make smaller, compact outdoor antennas these days). I looked at Best Buy and Circuit City and have found a couple I may try. On Circuit City I saw a Phillips(model MANT950) and on Best Buy an RCA(model ANT706). I’m not sure what the dB rating means and what is better(higher or lower). Any help or suggestions would be MOST APPRECIATIVE!!!
The NASA space foundation has become aware of these 60+ mile antennas and they are now illegal. If you are in possession of one, you could be prosecuted, murdered, revived, killed again, and then raped.
