Pinnacle PCTV HD TV Tuner Stick?
What would I get out of this thing?
I’ve got a laptop.
The only cord going into the laptop is the one to charge it up.
I’ve got 1GB of RAM. [[Is that enough to run this program?]]
I don’t have cable or satellite.
I don’t have HDTV.
1gb is enough to run this. You will be able to get TV channels on your laptop. You do not need an HDTV. You will be able to get the standard over the air stations including any sub channels. Several of teh stations transmit digital side stations such as a separate channel with just weather and news or PBS for example will have several sub channels with completely different programming. The only problem you might have is if you are near tall buildings or several trees over 30 feet tall. This can cause the signals to be weak. If you have a UHF antenna (rabbit ears) this will be better and if you have a rooftop Digital TV also has 5.1 sound which is not too impressive on a laptop but nice if exporting it to a tv. If you are considering getting t get it at Best Buy as it is going to be on sale for 59.99 and 79.99 for the pro version. The pro normally runs 129.99 so this is a good savings.
