What’s wrong with my Tv and what can I do to fix it?
I have a Panasonic HD 1080i 53″ wide screen. Today we went to turn it on and it just went black. The little red light on the left keeps blinking and for months its been showing notification signs of having some sort of light bulb replaced. Is the screen dead? Can I do anything to fix it? Please help! Thanks!
If it is a projection screen tv (the large, deep tv’s), then it sounds like your internal lamp has gone out. They run about $200-$300. Check out http://www.projectorlampcenter.com/ for a lamp. I don’t have much experience changing them out, as I have an flat panel LCD tv with no lamp. You can probably google how to change it out. I don’t think it is too hard, I know people who have done it many times.
Also, these lamps go out after so many hours, so you will probably be changing it again in a few years.
