What cable do i need to connect my dell inspiron 1545 to my panasonic viera plasma tv?
i have a VGA socket on my laptop, but i don’t think i have a graphics card.
the television has HDMI cable sockets, and S-Video ones, but do i need to have HD compatibility?

Without some type of HD connection on the laptop (HDMI or enhanced DVI), you’re limited to the analog connection via the VGA jack. A VGA to S-Video cable is an easy solution. See the example below.
