What is wrong with my TV?
I have had my TV for about 6 years now. It is a 60 inch screen. It is a Mitsubishi Medallion High definition TV. Here is my problem, when I cut it on, it stays on for about 30 seconds to a minute, sometimes even a little while longer, and then it suddenly turns off, and I’ll try to cut it back on, as soon as it comes back on, it shuts right back off within 5 seconds or less. Also, when it is on for the 30 seconds-minute, the picture on the tv kindave vibrates, you can see it moving around ever so slightly, also, at the very bottom of the screen, there is a little discoloration like a pinkish/red line. What could be the problem? Is my tv dead?
Sounds like your tv is dead! With new TV’s I NEVER suggest people trying to take them apart and fix the problem themselves. The TV power supply can hold an electric charge that can easily kill you if you do the wrong thing to it or if you don’t know what you’re doing. You may want to have a repair person come out to your home and take a look at it. But in all honesty you probably will have to buy a new TV.
As for problems – I’m leaning toward a power surge having blown your internal components.
