Why won’t my PS3 hook up to my HDTV?
We just got a new LG Cinema 3D 120Hz 1080p HDTV and I purchased a cheap HDMI cable (1.3, if it makes difference) to connect to the PS3 (backwards compatible PS3 80gb, if it makes a difference) and I couldn’t get it to connect properly. I adjusted my PS3 settings to enable HDMI Video Output, but it stayed at a black screen. Then I adjusted my PS3 settings to enable HDMI Audio Output, but it stayed silent. Anybody have some troubleshooting or ideas of what I might need to do?
On a quick note, once I connected just the HDMI from the PS3 to the TV; I was advised in a pop up on the TV “HDMI is Present would you like to use this” (something like that forgot exactly) I clicked yes, then my tv went to connecting and failed and I heard scratchy audio sounds and rippled audio as if it were breaking. Any other ideas?
