LCD vs Plasma vs LED: which one is better?
The question isn’t necessary which one has the better picture quality? The question really is whats better for your room and how much? Plasma television is a gas so its going start at 42 inches and go further up, because the gas likes to be a little further apart which will give it a slightly better picture. That’s the simple explanation. What you’ll see with plasma television is more accurate skin tones and a more natural color. So it may be a bit more darker.
Plasma televisions also have better movement in its picture. With LCD HDTV which stands for Liquid Crystal Display. Its going to be a little bit more vibrant and is a little better in glare reduction.
LED TVs which stands for Light-emitting diode is kinda of an advancement of LCD. What some folks don’t know is all LED TVs are LCD. The back-lighting is the only thing LED about. The LED back-lighting will make it more energy efficient and will make your whites brighter and your dark’s blacker due to the contrast ratio.
LED TVs are a little more vibrant and a little more bright then an LCD HDTV. So which one is more costly and which ones are better picture wise? Well 3rd place would be plasma televisions being an older technology is the cheapest and unfortunately the worse of the three TVS, but that doesn’t mean its a inferior technology. Some people actually prefer the picture Plasma offers over LED TVs and LCD’s. A cheap plasma TV bought brand new can be found online at plasma god for around $450. 2nd place and the silver medal goes to LCD TV. It has better picture then Plasma but not better then LED. LCD’s do make over 50% of all HD flat screen sales. A 42-inch LCD HDTV can be found online at Plasma God for around $700. 1st place would be….. LED TVs, they have all the benefits that LCD have plus the back-lighting is better and more green. Just an overall better picture. This comes at no surprise that its better and more green so it cost a much more more money(just like everything else in the world).
Most 42-inch LED TVs you can find online at Plasma God for around $950. Yup that’s correct. Nearly over twice as much as a plasma television. Comes at no surprise most newer technologies in the electronics department are usually always more. So unfortunately the more costly TV’s in this case our the more costly ones. Which makes sense.
