I recently bought a LCD HD flat panel tv, I have basic cable. My question is do I need to by a digital?
…..do I need to by a digital converter box to get HD?
Actually HD services on Cable are set on channels that are ABOVE the HD LCD tuner’s frequency capabilities…
That means to get HD Cable, you need the HD Cable box….
Now….if you are getting BASIC CABLE, and ONLY Basic…you have no problems, and don’t need anything but the TV set connected to cable.
But that’s an OLD BLURRY analog signal you’ll be looking at.
And you won’t need a digital box on Cable, not with a New LCD TV set.
Eventually you’ll want HD…and when you do, call Cable and they’ll connect an HD Box to your HD TV and send HD signals to your HD Box and HD TV set…..
And then you’ll kick yourself for waiting so long for it…
