Mkv sound playback problem on LG television through usb.?
Hello.
I recently bought the 42LH9000 LG tv and i try to watch a high definition video in mkv format through the usb port on my tv.
The file plays normaly to my pc but when i try to play the file on my tv it plays without having any sound. The Tv says “Sound format is not supported”.
Any other movie i tried to watch in dvd format had been playied normaly.
Can anyone help me to solve this problem?

Are you sure that the file you are playing on the TV through USB is in the mkv format ’cause as far as my knowledge goes the LG 42LH9000 can only decode DivX, mp3 & JPEG media formats. Make sure the video you’re playing has an audio track in the mp3 format since the TV can only playback audio in this format.
