If my digital antenna is split with a splitter box to another tv, will i lose picture quality?
I have an existing hdtv running straight to a newly installed combination digital antenna on the roof.
My housemate recently purchased a hdtv and wants to split off my cable to his room using a splitter box.
I’m worried i will lose some picture quality in both the digital and analogue signals.
Does anyone know what percentage of picture quality would be lost if any if any?
My friend did the same thing and says the analogue channels are noticably affected as well as the standard definition channels but the high definition channels are not noticable.
Would we be better off getting another antenna installed for seperate televisions?
Hope someone can help. Cheers.
I have a digital amplifier which i have tried in the past, but am reluctant to use it as it interferes with my wireless products no matter where i put it.
All i need to know is will i lose picture quality as a result of splitting the cable with a splitter box.
They do sell a splitter that is also a booster which will prevent lose of signal. You might want to check that out at an electronics store near you .
