Do I need HD camcorder or will standard def work well?
I am thinking of getting a digital camcorder and I want one that will display well on a television and will make clear video for places on the web.
As for specific specs other than the resolution I would like:
At least 4 hours of continuous video recording capacity at the camera’s highest resolution.
A long lasting battery
Small enough to easily pack around in the wilderness
At least 12X zoom…more MAY be better
Image stabilization that actually works
The ability to add extras such as microphone, lens enhancements, filters.
I am able to afford up to $800 but would like to get by well at a lower cost.
Any suggestions on a specific camcorder is welcome in addition to opinions on standard definition vs high def.
the better the def the bigger the file, if you going to edit that file then you need a faster computer with a lot of space. so think the whole thing before you decide one.
