WD TV Live HD. Is it truely HD?

This WD TV Live says it can play HD contents on a HDTV. The input is USB, output HDMI. I’m confused here. If HDMI can transfer at 10.2 Gbps and Hi-Speed USB can only do 480Mbps, how can I watch a true HD movie? I will really appreciate if someone can answer this. Thanks.
10.2Gbps is the maximum throughput that HDMI is rated to handle, not the actual throughput of a typical HD broadcast.
Most uncompressed 1080p HD broadcasts will come in at about 370Mbps.
Here’s some math for you.
1920×1080 resolution = 2,073,600 pixels
2,073,600 pixels @ 24bpp = 49,766,400 bits (49Mbits)
49,766,400 bits / 8Mbits (8Mbits per Megabyte) = 6,220,800 bytes (6.2Mbytes)
So, 6.2Mbytes per frame.
6,220,800 bytes x 30 fps = 186,624,000 bytes/sec (187Mbytes/sec)
6,220,800 bytes x 60 fps = 373,248,000 bytes/sec (373Mbytes/sec)
