Can you hear 5.1 surround sound on the HD-TV, on an off-air antenna?
I have a Toshiba HD 37hl66 LCD TV and a JVC TC-20 home theater system. Sytem I plug the digital optical cable into the TV and home theater and the TV to the off-air antenna and settings for the TV to a channel broadcasting in HD and the surround sound is not working .. Am I doing something wrong?
Make sure you go to the TV menu and set up the output of digital audio in Dolby Digital Are NOT PCM. As Pooh said, only very few HD programs are broadcast in DD 5.1.
