How much does an amplifier help?
Lets say I had a cable split twice, then goes through an amplifier, then goes to either an HD TV or a cable modem. Will the amplifier more or less repair any signal degradation from just two splitters?
You should put the amplifier BEFORE the splitter, not afterwards.
Splitting reduces the signal strength, but not the noise so you want to make sure the signal is strong as possible before the splitter.
