I have a samsung flat screen tv thats 1080p, i also have direct tv with HD channels…………?
and i bought an HDMI cable but for some reason im not getting full HD nor 1080p quality Why is that? and what can i do to get the best quality out of my TV Thanks in advance.
Broadcast tv maxes out at 1080i and many HD shows are 720p. Set your Direct TV box to output 1080i over HDMI. The info you see on your tv screen shows whats being sent to the tv. The tv, if 1080p, will always display at 1080p, it takes any signal and upconverts it.
All HD tvs can display only at their native resolution.
