Set up Samsung i8910 Omnia HD to synchronize with Hosted Microsoft Server Exchange
Samsung i8910 Omnia HD is a Smartphone that runs on Symbian OS and can sync well with Microsoft Exchange Server, thus making it possible for users to be connected with their Outlook mails even when they are out of the office.
This handset comes with a 3.7″ AMOLED capacitive touchscreen having a resolution of 640 x 360 pixels, capable of displaying up to 16 million colors. It has an 8 megapixel camera with the industry-first 720p HD video recording at 24 fps. Other imaging assets include geotagging, face detection, smile detection and WDR (Wide Dynamic Range) setting. The i8910 Omnia HD runs on Symbian (on Symbian^1), with Samsung’s TouchWiz interface.
On the connectivity side, the device is offering Wi-Fi with DLNA, Bluetooth 2.0 with A2DP, a standard microUSB port, a 3.5mm audio jack and TV-out. A GPS receiver with A-GPS is included, along with the optional Samsung Mobile Navigator by Route 66.

In Samsung i8910 Omnia HD, the Mail for Exchange comes pre-installed (built into the firmware), so no files need to be downloaded and installed (.sisx files). Perform the following steps to create a Mail for Exchange mailbox:
- Press Menu.
- Select Email.
- Select New.
- Select Start.
- Enter your Email address for your corporate email account.
- Enter Password.
- Select Mail for Exchange.
- Enter User name.
- Enter Domain.
- Enter Mail for Exchange server name (web address for Exchange server).
- Select Ok.
The PIM data (Contacts, Calendar and To-do’s) synchronization is disabled by default perform the following to enable:
- Select Menu.
- Select Email.
- Select Settings.
- Select Personal Information Manager.
- Select Applications (the following steps will give a general configuration for any of the 3 items).
- Select each of the items (Calendar, Contacts, To-do) that you desire and change as needed.
- Select item sync – change to Yes if desired.
- Select Initial sync – delete from phone will erase all items from the device and replace with those on the Microsoft Exchange server.
