Do you need to have an HD tv to run a blue ray disc player?
I am thinking about getting a PlayStation 3 but was wondering if I needed an HD tv to run it
Nope. A traditional tele if it has the regular connectors like Scart or whatever will play the game but with a HD tv you will experience far superior quality.
You would also need a different connector for this to work. I’ve got an XBox 360 and it looks great on a plasma capable of HD but without the right connectors it’s just the same as plugging it into another 52″ CRT tele.
So, in short you can play away fine and it will look superb but to go the extra mile you need a HD TV and connectors, of which I’m not sure. Amazon will have them.
