wall mount hd tv?
I have a 52 inch samsung hdtv LCD….i saw the prices on the stands and there like 300 dollars..how much is the wall mount and to get it mounted professionally…And is it better?
is there certain kind of walls that are better to mount the tv on..and how do they hide the cables so you dont see them everywhere??? just curious…Thanks
Mounting your TV should be fairly simple. You shouldn’t need it down professionally and it will save you a lot of money. You can get a mount at Circuit City for $150 +tax.
As long as you know how to use a stud finder and screw gun (or drill) you can mount the TV yourself. Of course you should call a friend to help you lift it up however.
As for the hiding the wires – yes you can have them put inside the wall but that may not be good if you ever have to replace them or need access to them. I bought a wire cover at home depot which runs right down the wall (centered with the TV). It’s paintable to match the wall and you can access the wires at any time to add or take away. I find it very unobtrusive. It cost around $15. Circuit City has wire covers but they were small and I have used those kind before and didn’t like them.
In total it cost me less then $200 to mount my TV (42″) and that stand is good for TVs between 40″-63″ Good luck!!
