How expensive is a Flat screen LCD tv?
I was at best buy the other day and saw a 52″ sony bravia LCD tv in HD with 1080 pixels and 240 hertz. I’ve been doing some research on these new tvs and have learned that this tv, when it comes to LCDs, is the best on the market. The ones I saw at best buy was 19 grand. There was also an open box one for 18. Are these reasonable prices or are there places where I can get them for cheaper while still maintaining brand new quality( in other words not used.) I dont mind spending almost 2000 dollars but if i can find the same tv for cheaper im gonna go for it. Thanks for your input.
I think Sony tvs are overpriced and the quality of there product have gone done. If you want the bang for your buck, look at the Plasma tv from Panasonic. Plasma tv still offers the best picture quality from over LCD and LED tvs. Go online to Home Theater Magazine and read the reviews on just about every model of tvs. The Pioneer KURO is still the best flat panel tv in the market, but they are very expensive compare to the rest. LCD tvs still have some bugs to iron out, were the Plasma has been around and they have ironed out all the bugs. Take a look at the September issue which they compared a Panasonic 42″ Plasma to a Sony, LG, Toshiba and Vizio LCD tvs. The Plasma was the top choice and the only model with the THX certified. From my experience, purchased a Plasma in 2002 and it is still running strong today, while my LCD tv purchased in 2006 is already burned out. The Plasma is used daily while the LCD was seldom used in my spare bedroom. Hope this will help you out.
