
SKY TV HD recording Failed.?
Yesterday, I recorded a TV programme while I watched another channel, but today when I came to watch the programme I had recorded it said recording failed.
Is there any reason for this..
I have also noticed I have a series link set to record the entire series of a programme, and all episodes have recorded ok, all except for the latest one, where it says Failed.
I have had the HD box for over 12 months, so will have to pay for sky to come out, but I have read if you go to services and press 4,0,1 you can access the installation menu to do a system restore, will this lose all my TV programmes as there are programmes on my HD I do not want deleting.
Also, if I call an engineer they’ll wipe my HD losing the programmes. or will change my box for another one.
edit: I get Fault code 10.
when I try to access the engineers menu it won’t go into it.
If you still have the failed recording in your planner highlight it and press i on the sky remote control.This should display the reason for the failed recording.Also make sure the recording time of the program didn’t clash with any series link recordings.
