HDTV Video Out Card?
I would like to purchase an HDTV video card for my PC that has an output for my regular TV. I have DLS currently, and would like to watch digital TV without having to pay for cable service for my TV. I understand that it is required to have an HD receiver to watch these free HDTV channels, but I don’t have an HDTV. I have been looking at ATI, but the terminology and different cards available are way too many for me to determine which one I need. Any help would be much appreciated. I live in Houston TX.
The term “HDTV-ready” means a higher resolution monitor with one or more built-in NTSC tuners, but without a HDTV tuner. It will work as-is with regular television, VCRs and DVDs. It will require a HDTV tuner to decode 720p or 1080i digital HDTV signals.
