How can I fix an HD gaming lag on an Xboox 360?
I have an Xbox 360 setup on a 36″ Sylvania HDTV.
The problem is: I’ve noticed roughly a quarter of a second lag while playing online (Call of Duty: Black Ops). However, it’s not caused by a connection lag, or anything like that.
I’ve looked into this, and I’ve discovered that some HDTVs have problems with lag on certain gaming systems. They described the best solution as: configuring your Xbox’s resolution to match your TV’s resolution, selecting ‘game mode’ as a TV mode, and etc.
However, my 36″ Sylvania HDTV has no ‘game mode’ or any other type of mode that eliminates lag. Is there any workaround I can use to eliminate this lag?
I’ll add any additional information if I need. Just tell me what you need to know.
Only samsung HD tv’s have a game mode setting.
Anyways go to:
1. System Settings
2. Console Settings
3. Then you should see display settings and go to that
4. Select each HD resolution and see what looks best
If that doesn’t help then if you get an HDMI cord then hook that up to your Xbox and tv and then Do the same above but press optimal resolution in display settings rather than the other resolutions like 720p, 1080i, and 1080p and it should choose the right resolution for you.
