Bluray or Hd DVD player?
Which should i get? i am not a tech savy person, so please so long explanations. just give it to me in basic english. i want the one which will give me more selection movie wise and more popular too. i was thinking about getting the Hd DVD because the player is cheaper as well as the movies, but then i have to get the cables and the HDTV as well. then i was thinking about getting the PS3 since i can use it to play both games and Bluray discs. Oh yeah, for Bluray, you don’t have to get a special tv do you? also, can it also play regular DVD’s?
Ok if price is the factor then HD DVD, however I do not know if DVD’s can be played for sure but I think they do, but some of the HD DVD movies are in both HD DVD and DVD formats.
My best advice is to go to a store that carries HD movies and see which on has the titles you like because not all movies are in both Blu-ray and HD DVD formats.
If you go Blu-ray then the PS3 is the best deal, it is what I done and it plays DVD’s also for sure. But you will have to buy a HDMI cable also, and it doesn’t have to be the Sony brand HDMI either.
Regardless of which one you get, you need a 1080i or 1080p HD TV to see the effects or you are wasting your time from the start, a 720p HD TV will look good, but will not get the full effect, and if no HD TV, then their is no point.
