The annual CES that opens in Las Vegas Thurs will feature the introduction of a crowd of tablets. As usual, smartphones and gaming technology will make a lot of noise. However as the year of the tablet starts with CES 2011, notably absent are the business all others are attempting to emulate.

Apple attempting to do better than Consumer Electronics Show 2011

CES 2011, based on previews proliferating on the web, will resemble Consumer Electronics Show 2010. There was a Microsoft windows tablet shown off at last year’s annual technology trade show. It never went anywhere though. Apple then announced the iPad. It was only a few weeks later too. Over 12 million iPads have sold since it went to stores in April. Jan 6 is when CES 2011 can be introduced. Then, devices can be introduced for attention by many more tablet manufacturers. The same day, the Mac App Store makes its debut. Several say that Steve Jobs will preview the Apple ipad 2 during that time in order to upstage the CES 2011.

Catching up to the head, Apple

Catching up to Apple is the goal many manufacturers hope to make happen. This would be at the CES 2011 also. The Galaxy tablet that Samsung says it has already sold 1 million of can be featured. Brands like Hewlett-Packard, Motorola, Dell, Toshiba, Acer, ASUS, and Research in Motion (RIM) will all be unveiling tablets. The success of Apple’s iPad leads analysts to believe the sector potential for tablets will allow most of these players a modicum of success. Nobody knew that there would be a ton of cheap imitations of what Apple did accessible on the sector that are all attempting to be the cheapest while Apple doesn’t even have to compete.

Items to show up at Consumer Electronics Show 2011

CES 2011 may be all about tablets; however smartphones will even make headlines with devices that continue to promise cable-caliber high speed internet connections that have been promised since Consumer Electronics Show 2010. Android phones for Verizon’s 4G high-speed LTE network will be introduced by Motorola, HTC and others. Internet-connected TVs may also proliferate, as well as automobiles and household appliances that access wireless data networks to receive remote commands from their owners.
