Is this a good TV deal?
Hi. Im wondering whether to get this TV, and I’m wondering if someone can guide me on whether it’s a good deal or not.

We use the TV quite a lot, but don’t really watch sports, movies… on it. Its mainly just soaps, EastEnders, some comedy, news … . I don’t want to spend billions on a TV – at the most £400, simply because we don’t need a ‘home cinema’. I dont mind if we don’t have flatscreen or not, but this TV doesnt have HD – will that be a problem.
Could someone be kind enough to give me a link to a TV buyers guide – what to look for, the features explained …

Not a hot tv, very old specs only 50hz.
Grabing a lcd is probably a good idea, the screen can last for years and the only main issue they have is dead pixels, which for the most part are rare and if they do appear its normally years latter or within a very short duration…hence ya warranty.
Outside that their afordable, screen quality is good, there lite, easy to setup as a result.
there viewing angle isnt as good as a normal tubed tv, but most lcd’s give a good viewing angle, so it isnt a issue.
They normally have good options for conections at the back and use less power then a old school tv.
Most lcd’s these days are Hd rdy also, so that is good, specially when there within your budget.
Also they have a better potential to last longer then your traditional tv and even a plasma, so for getting the best distance for your buck, there a number 1 choice.
however when shoping for a LCD is is often good if u can get down to your shop and try it, because unlike a crt, the picture qualities can vary a bit and if u order online, i sugest you read the reviews for it from the techs and the people who bought them.
Use google.com and “brand/model + review” as a guide to finding the info online
