I have an HD TV that has a built in convertor box. I don’t have cable-not even basic, but I get 17 HD channel?
I get 17 HD channel like National Geographic HD on 116.1, ESPN Hd 109.2, NBC HD 81.1, Fox 8 75.5, but no regular fox and no CBS. How do I find out what frequency CBS is on and other channels to see if I can get them. It seems like I would get all the basic broadcast channels. I want to watch LSU vs Florida tonight- Geaux Tigers!!!!
You have a lot of misinformation in your question.
Your TV does not have a built in “converter box”. If it did, you would not actually be seeing anything in high def. The proper way to describe what you have is to say your TV has a ATSC (digital) tuner and can display high def.
Your question does not give one bit of information to us as to where your TV single is coming from. However, I can say for certain that with channels like National Geographic HD on 116.1, ESPN Hd you are getting a signal from some sort of cable system and not broadcast TV, in spite of the fact you say you do not have cable.
So you have two choices as to what to do.
Contact the cable provider that you claim you don’t have and as them what channel CBS is on or connect an antenna to your TV and receive broadcast TV.
