Getting TV Cable, DVD/Surround to work together?
I have a samsung lcd tv, samsung dvd player/surround receiver, and a digital hd cable box. it is currently connected like this….
coax from wall to cable box
HDMI from cable box to TV in HDMI 1
HDMI from DVD/Receiver to TV in HDMI 2
I want to be able to listen to the cable box through the dvd/receiver so i have surround sound. the only way i’ve been able to get it to work so far is by using regular audio left/right cables from digital out on the cable box to aux 2 input on the dvd/receiver. sometimes there is a slight delay in the sound though compared to the picture and i can’t use full surround sound obviously.
Is there a different/better way to get the cable box and dvd/receiver to communicate so that i can use the surround sound speakers while listening to cable????
