Not all tv program are broadcast in HD. If your tv is HD and you have a good antenna then you will receive broadcast. The HD channel will usually say 10.1 (meaning the regular channel is 10 and point 1 is the HD channel. DVD is in the 480P HD is 720P and Full HD is 1080P, the only source for 1080P program is the Blue Ray disc movies. You also need a 1080P tv in screen size 46″ or larger to get the full benifit of the 1080P. Hope this helps you out.
