hd dvr remote issue (new vizio hd tv with hd dvr rc65r receiver)?
i recently purchased a vizio hd tv and have a directv hd dvr receiver (rc65r).during the day using the remote is a dream. however in the evening from a distance of no more then 6 feet the remote just doesn’t work….? i have contacted directv a number of times and each rep has a different theory from sunlight to dead sensor. we have gotten 2 new hd dvr receivers and remotes but doesn’t help. the last tech said the ambient light omitted by the tv itself is interfering with the infrared signal of the remote to the sensor, we attempted to change from IR to RF but the box refused to take the change. If anyone else has the same issue and has fixed it please help me out. we are desperate!!!
