Panasonic Th 42PV500 Plasma Tv 110CM Review
This is one of Panasonic first HD ready TVs which is perfect for when you get your new Xbox 360 or Sky HD towards the end of 2005. From next year all the major TV networks will launch HD Television programmes so if you are buying a new TV we plead with you to make sure its HDTV ready.
The TH-42PV500 is very much what we have come to expect from Panasonic, well built with a solid quality feel all wrapped in glossy piano black and silver. The connections on the TH-42PV500 are all there including HDMI jack, component video input for analogue HD and progressive scan pictures, three scarts and all important PC input for playing the latest episode of LOST that you have just downloaded.
There is also a sd slot that is hidden away on the front. Another neat thing about this TV is that is has a built in Freeview tuner which will come in handy if you don’t have sky.
Overall Opinion
The Panasonic TH-42PV500 Plasma TV is a great choice for those who are looking for the latest in plasma technology. We were quite impressed by the outstanding image quality and the superb black levels produced by this Panasonic plasma TV.
Our only concern was that many of the features included are also available on less expensive models from Toshiba and Hitachi. In the case of the Panasonic TH-42PV500 you really are paying more to have something beautiful in your living room.
