How high above a fireplace can you hang a flat panel TV?
My husband and I are looking at getting a flat panel and hanging it above the fireplace in our new house. Is this safe to do, and if so, does the height above the fireplace matter? We weren’t sure if the heat rising from the fireplace might damage the TV or not.
Just load a picture of a fire-place as a screen-saver on your TV.
Just kidding.
Light up your ideal fire in your fireplace then test the temperature of the wall above at the spot you want your Tv with your hand. If it’s not to hot no worries.
