What is the process for connecting my laptop to my HDTV via the use of a vga to hdmi cord?
I bought a vga to hdmi cord online, and when i hooked it up the laptop didn’t recognize the external display device.
What do I do?
my computer runs vista and its a small memorex tv.
It probably will not work.
VGA is analog only, and HDMI is digital only. So without an analog to digital converter, it will not work.
Your television SHOULD have a VGA port on it. Next time, include the model numbers of the TV and the laptop so we can give you a better answer.
