What do you need to hook up XBox 360 to HDMI?

We got our first high def TV last night. it’s a Magnavox 42″ 1080p. I’ve hooked the Xbox 360 up to it using the cable it comes with (I have the pro- got it at Sam’s club). The cable says HD TV on it, but the plugs hook through the AV3 port. The picture isn’t anything to be thrilled with. When it’s moving it’s really pixellated. I’m hoping that isn’t as good as it gets. So I’m looking to get the HDMI hook ups to improve it (they’re a small single port that looks almost like an elongated USB plug…) What do I need for optimal picture?

At circuit city I saw a Microsoft HDMI cable for $49.99 and the Mad Catz HDMI conversion for 89.99. I was under the impression the Xbox 360 was already HDMI ready so do I need the conversion? Will the Microsoft cable be all I need?

Best answer will be constructive and include links to products. Thanks

First you need an XBOX 360 with an HDMi port (it will be just below the regular cable’s port). You also need an XBOX 360 HDMi cable, search at GAME for one. Your picture should not be pixelated regardless of which cable you use, so it could be your TV (I’ve seen an XBOX in HD using the cable you are using now, and there was no pixelation). You could ring Microsoft and see what they say about the pixelation.
