Monivsion's HD-compatible, 16:9 wide-format 30-inch LCD display boasts a native resolution of 1280 x 768 pixels when used as a PC monitor, and can display full 1080i resolution when used for high-definition (HD) video. It also displays video at 480i, 480p, and 720p resolution.

The LWX-30MMS-3 displays up to 16.7 million colors with good contrast and brightness--it has a contrast ratio of 500:1 and brightness of 500 candelas per square meter. Its built-in 7-watt amplifier powers two stereo speakers featuring SRS (WOW) surround-like sound and SAP (Secondary Audio Program) mode for bilingual programming.

The LWX-30MMS-3 has a 15-pin RGB port for connecting a PC, and a DVI (Digital Video Interface) port for connecting either a PC or another digital, high-resolution input source. Adding the optional video input/output board gives you an NTSC TV tuner, along with two sets of component-video inputs (1 set each of YPb Pr and Y Cb Cr), S-video in, composite video in and out, and two stereo audio inputs. An RS-232C serial port is provided for connecting external controls, and there's a 3.5-millimeter audio output jack. A display stand is included.
