I have a 3D ready Panasonic Blu Ray player, and a 3D ready Viewsonic projector. Why won’t they play 3D?
I have an HDMI cable connecting them and I have looked at the settings for both devices, yet every time I try to play a 3D disc I get a message saying that the Blu Ray has detected that I’m trying to play a 3D movie and that I need to connect the Blu Ray to a 3D TV. I don’t want to use a TV, I want to use the projector! Is there something I’m missing?
3D ready means that the projector supports at least one 3D format. Whether that format is 3D over HDMI is another story. I suggest you look at the manual and specs of the projector and figure out what format it supports and from what input (it could be 3D over VGA from a PC).
