what is the diffence between tvs?
my girlfriend wants to know what the difference between a lcd tv and a plasma tv. Also what is the best tv brand to buy, we are not planning on buying a 3d tv and we want to buy a 40 inch tv

every tv has its light source to produce image on screen
CRT (cathode ray tube) – it has the tube of light as the name indicate
plasma – plasma is a cell, it have its own source of light in it.
LCD (liquid crystal display) – there is a liquid in screen and a light (which is known as backlit) behind the liquid is use as a source to produce images. The new technologies for the light source are LED, that televisions are known as LED televisions. RGBLED, CCFl, B+RGLED are latest source of light in LED tvs.
