Samsung PN51D6500 – Samsung HDTV With 1 Inch Bigger Screen
We were highly impressed with Samsung’s 3D plasmas in 2010 and the 2011 turns not only gets better, but get bigger as well. Samsung is calling their new plasmas “+1″, this name derives from the 1 inch larger screen sizes. Even though the screens got larger the TVs remained the same size so the bezel is now even thinner than it was last year.
The new, one inch larger screen retains many of the pircture features from last year, it appears to be a case of not messing with a good thing. The Real Black Filter returns, providing rich, deep blacks that enhance all the other colors sharing the screen. The warmth and realism that the picture offers is nothing less than stunning.
For 3D the PN51D6500 uses active shutter glasses and is Full HD 3D, sending 1080 lines of vertical resolution to each eye. Some televisions sacrifice some resolution to show 3D images and Full 3D HD provides the best 3D experience.
Last year the lower line 3D plasma did not insert 3D glasses and it seems it keep the same way in 2011.
2D to 3D conversion returns this year, we didn’t find the feature that impressive but when something isn’t shot with a 3d Camera it’s just not going to have the same 3D effect.
The new slimmer, brushed black metallic bezel, the larger screen and the thin depth combine to make the Samsung PN51D6500 a very good looking TV, this is a television you will want to show off.
Full HD 3D means the best 3D performance, TVs with this 3D feature don’t give less resolution to show you 3D.
The New PN51D6500 has plenty of connection options, plenty of HDMI 1.4 inputs, analog component and composite video and for the first time Samsung is including built in WiFi in a television.
