Why does my DVD picture quality still look crappy even with HDMI cable?
I have a Visio 32″ flatscreen HD TV. I also have a brand new Magnavox dvd player. The regular red/white/yellow dvd cables gave me a horrible picture quality when playing dvds so I purchased the HDMI cable for my dvd player and connected it to my tv. But the picture quality STILL looks TERRIBLE. Blurry, somewhat pixelated, and basically about the same quality as a VHS tape. I adjusted the brightness, color, tint, sharpness, etc. for a half hour and still could not make it look better. Can somebody PLEASE tell me what I’m doing wrong here? I am at my wit’s end.
On a 32″, Component video should be almost as good as HDMI.
Pixelation means there is noise, either from the DVD disc itself or from the interface.
Try the TV with another source, or try the player with another TV.
